You simply have to stop here - you’ve had Mallard Cottage, and now you have try this cozy, homy and incredibly delicious and beautiful local joint, just steps away from the lighthouse. Very few places does the good job on both amazing ice creams desserts AND main course seafood at the same time - Little Dairy King is my favourite joint on Newfoundland so far.

Right next to the Lighthouse in Cape Bonavista. Clean & airy. Very friendly service. Good food. The fish is juicy. (Sorry no photos, we dug in before I had the chance to zap one with my phone.) The beef soup was delicious also. Ah, the soft serve ice cream. Can't miss it.

We heard this little spot was worth the drive ( near the lighthouse) for the pan fried cod and chips. It did not disappoint. Fish was perfectly cooked and the fries were fresh cut and crispy. Staff were friendly and

**I ate a few fries before I took the picture, there were a lot! Me and my family were craving some fish and chips for supper, and I’m thankful we chose Little Dairy King! The food came out as soon as expected (about ten minutes) and the fish was tasty! The fish was buried under the fries, and not a lot of salt, but it’s easy to add. The portions were pretty big and I was very full afterwards! Fries were hot, a bit soft though. Overall the food was great! The view was great! Very close to the water, and there are tables and chairs to sit on the deck outside, and out along the field near the water. However, we decided to sit in the car due to bird poop on almost every table and fresh ice cream spilled on a few. Inside, it was dull and not a lot of lighting which wasn’t too appealing. Not a lot of seating. Newfoundland music was a nice touch, but it was playing in the back but it was pretty loud. Also a lot of flies in the takeout window. They were flying in and out of the kitchen. All that aside, wonderful food and great fish! The ocean view was beautiful. Would totally come again!

Stumbled upon this gem of a place when looking for a place to grab a bite upon our arrival into Bonavista! The freshest and most generous portion of pan-fried cod (sorry we didn’t get a picture!) and tried cod tongue for the very first time and it was DELICIOUS! Fries are a must - REAL potatoes and fresh cut. The service was terrific and super friendly. The desserts looked fantastic but we were just way too stuffed. Gorgeous views of the ocean and sunset. Highly recommend!

We stopped there on the way as it was around sunset time. There's nice viewing area to watch the ocean. We didn't buy ice cream to comment.

Stopped here for ice cream when I was hiking the Cape Shore trail, they have a walk up window which is very convenient! Their staff were very nice, and they were quick to make my ice cream (reeses pieces flurry). It was the perfect size and it was very sweet, it tasted great!
